Okayama University International Alumni Association (OUIAA) observes all applicable laws and regulations relating to privacy protection. We comply with this Privacy Policy and work to properly manage and protect personal information.
Use of Personal Information
Personal information we collect may be used for purposes to support Okayama University, to contribute to society and to promote communication among members. We will collect your personal information only as deemed necessary for managing membership, sending invitations, publicizing, inviting OUIAA members to Okayama University, and undergoing other necessary activities of OUIAA. Before using personal information for any other purposes, we will notify you to request your consent. We will announce when we change our purposes of information use.
Collecting Personal Information
We will utilize the following methods for collecting your personal information:
- Collecting your personal information directly from you
- Collecting your personal information from your branch director or Okayama University with your permission
Registration, Correction or Deletion of Personal Information
Registration, correction or deletion of your personal information may be reflected on OUIAA Member Registration System by your branch director, a vice branch director or OUIAA secretariat after confirming the request. You can contact them on requests concerning your personal information management on the system.
Management of Personal Information
We endeavor to ensure the security of personal information we collect by taking appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, damage, falsification or intrusion of information. We will continually engage in training and management education in order to raise awareness about the importance of managing such information as well as maintenance of the security system. If we entrust third parties with the handling of any personal information, we will make appropriate contracts to ensure the security of such personal information.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not provide your personal information to any third party without your advance consent except where such disclosure:
・is required by applicable law;
・is necessary for the protection of people’s safety or property, and when it is difficult to obtain the consent of our users;
・is made in cooperation with national or local authorities including entities appointed by such authorities to carry out legal process, and in which seeking the consent of the individual could affect such enforcement.
Observation and Alternation of Law
We endeavor to improve the safety measures for dealing with personal information, and to adopt the relevant laws swiftly when there are any changes.
