❓Can you tell us about your current job?

👨🏻‍💻 Currently I’m working as a junior assistant at the CSR Department of a Japanese door-manufacturer in Tokyo. Overall, I’m responsible for document translation & interpretation to communicate between firm’s headquarter and subsidiary in global market

❓How your learning experience in Okayama University helped you to prepare for your future career?

📚 Back in university, I was studying anthropology, sociology, as well as issues in human rights and the impact of industrialization on society and the environment. Becoming a “shakai-jin”, working in the CSR Department has helped me to utilize my knowledge learned at school into the practice of environmental policies, human rights implementation, community responsibility from corporate perspectives

❓How was your study abroad experiences?

🌎 I remember there was a time when Okayama International Center was looking for an English-speaking announcer for a medical event in Tottori, I tried to apply then got chosen to go to Tottori with all expenses being covered by the organizers. It was a very memorable trips, as I was able to get to know the people of the event organizer, and later on got a chance to become an interpreter for another medical event in Okayama.

Studying abroad has trained me to be more confident in myself. It’s not a confidence when speaking in front of the crowd or something extraordinary; rather it’s simply the confidence to live by our own in an unfamiliar foreign country, solving problems in our daily life

❓What are the things you’re treasuring the most in your daily life?

🌄I believe that having a stable job, being financially independent, and living a life full of freedom are the things I most value

❓May we ask about your future plan?

✨I haven’t decided yet in the long run, but for now I will continue to work in Japan to accumulate experiences to grow myself further
