The International Alumni Association of Okayama University held an exchange meeting for international students at the Institute of Plant Science and Resources on Friday, November 12, 2021. Two international students from Tsushima Campus (Indonesia and Malawi), two international students from the Institute of Plant Science and Resources (Russia and China), one Japanese volunteer student, and a member of the International Affairs Department of Okayama University participated in the activity.
At the exchange meeting, Professor Garis Ivan from the Institute of Plant Science and Resources explained the history, research, and facilities of the institute, and after that, the international students develop an understanding of different cultures and build friendship among each other through playing an illustrated message game beyond the nationalities.
Besides, the international students went to the Kurashiki Bikan Area, a famous sightseeing spot in Okayama. They were able to experience Japanese culture while walking along the streets with white-walled traditional houses and willow trees lining the banks of the Kurashiki River.
The Okayama University International Alumni Association will continue to organize international exchange events in the future to promote networking and information exchange with international students during their time at university.
Dear alumni members, please support the younger students who will be joining the alumni association after their graduation. To all current students, we look forward to your continued participation in future activities.
